Celebrating the natural beauty of a simpler time, the Americana Secretary has an historical form with a scalloped, shaped base and legs and a drop-front work surface. Crafted of Oak Veneers with a Solid-Wood Edge Top in the time-worn white Daisy finish, it features metal alloy bar and round pulls in antique bronze. There are two top drawers and six small storage drawers behind the drop-front, along with four storage cubbies. Four self-closing bottom drawers. The interior is finished in the warm, nostalgic Honey finish.

The Americana collection reimagines historical pieces and designs with a fresh take on finish, function, hardware, and forms. Offering bedroom, dining room, entertainment, accent and occasional items, each piece in the collection strikes a timeless balance between history and nature. Crafted with oak veneers, Americana features three core finishes – Daisy, Honey and Molasses – as well as assorted accent finishes with decorative artwork. The Honey finish is on the inside. Metal alloy bar and round pulls in an antique bronze finish.

Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
- Drawer Construction: Hooker Furniture offers full height, full depth and full width drawers for maximum storage capacity. All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use. Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides for strength and durability. Metal side guides or wood on wood guide systems operate smoothly.

- We recommend dusting frequently with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Clean the surface by rubbing in the direction of the grain. We recommend polishing your furniture approximately every six months using a clean, soft, lint-free cloth and rubbing the polish in the direction of the grain. Guardsman furniture polish or any furniture polish that doesn't contain silicone is recommended.
Warranty
- For a period of one year after date of shipment, the manufacturer (HOOKER FURNITURE CORPORATION), after inspection by its authorized representative, will have repaired locally or replaced, as determined by HOOKER FURNITURE CORPORATION, any item that is found to be defective due to faulty workmanship or material. This guarantee applies only if furniture is stored and used under normal conditions.
